Hello once again, readers and fans of Kasane Teto alike! As most of you are aware, April 1st, 2008, was the date on which Kasane Teto originally debuted as an April Fools joke by vip@2ch on NicoVideo, meaning as of yesterday, she has been sharing her voice with the world for 18 years! April 1st is considered Kasane Teto’s anniversary, as well as serving as a quasi-birthday for the character.

Given the importance of the date, many announcements from first and third party sources, as well as fan projects, are revealed on this day, which is what this article will be attempting to cover. 2026 is turning out to be another big year for the rising star, and we have no shortage of stories to cover, so let’s not waste any more time!
Starting off, we have news of restock. Last year, Japanese cosplay retailer Assist released a recreation of Kasane Teto’s iconic Synthesizer V appearance, which sold quickly, causing some sizes to sell-out. On March 29th, 2026, Assist posted that all sizes of the outfit have been restocked, so those who missed out on the initial purchasing period have another chance to grab this garb.

It starts at ¥16,800, or approximately $105. Unfortunately, Assist does not ship items overseas, so those outside of Japan will have to rely on proxy shipping services to get their hands on the item. You can find the listing here:

Following up with another merchandise related story, Fukuya announced on March 31st, 2026, that stores in their GiGO Group would be receiving a new collection of Kasane Teto merchandise, with acrylic stands and pins featuring new, original outfit. A collection of four miniature key-chain plushies will also be available, sporting her original, Synth V, and VOICEPEAK appearances.

Once more, these items are only being made available at select stores in Japan, so those overseas looking to purchase will have to wait for second-hand sellers to begin making listings, through sites such as Mercari.
Next, we have a story about an upcoming live performance. For context, MIKUEC is a fan-operated concert focused on vocal synth music, hosted by the University of Electro-Communication’s “Virtual Live Study Group” (VLL). Given its namesake, virtual singers such as Hatsune Miku are prominently featured at the performance, often appearing on stage.

On March 31st, 2026, the MIKUEC Twitter account posted that later in the coming summer, they will be hosting a rebranded TETOEC event, a concert focused on specifically Kasane Teto. We are still waiting for information regarding dates and which songs will feature. Official recordings of the performances are posted to the MIKUEC YouTube account, so it’s likely we can expect to see footage of the show later this year.
Additionally, a custom design for Kasane Teto has been shared for the event, and interested artists can submit their drawings of the design for a chance to be featured at the venue! Those wanting to contribute can find the post here:

Our next story involves the previously mentioned NicoVideo, as the video sharing website is hosting a multi-day long birthday festival for Kasane Teto, from April 1st to April 5th. Naturally, this event is celebrated by uploading and watching videos posted to the website involving Kasane Teto.

During this time, special gifts will be available on NicoVideo, bought using the website’s point system, and used for showing support to specific videos. Those who spend more than 1,000 points on these Kasane Teto themed gifts will be entered into a raffle to win unique merchandise, with there being 65 winners. Lastly, the video which receives the most points from users will be officially featured by NicoVideo at a later date.

For the last two stories of this article, they focus on – what else other than – music! Specifically, we’ve had the announcement of two major albums, one fan-made and the other officially associated with Crypton.
Last February, a Twitter account under the handle Kasane Interlink was created. It remained dormant until late March, when cryptic posts were made to the account. On March 31st, 2026, a website under the same name, kasaneinterlink.com, would go live, and asked visitors to answer riddles relating to Kasane Teto. Once they were answered, the website would reveal that Kasane Interlink was an upcoming collaborative album centered around Kasane Teto, featuring many prominent producers in the scene, both from Japan and internationally.

The Twitter account would give more details, and a proper preview trailer for the album would be posted. Kasane Interlink is being spearheaded by producer d0tc0mmie, and has plans for a physical release. Dates on when the album will be available for order and streaming are yet to come, but it shouldn’t be long.
The album will feature 20 original songs, with each having their own illustration, and a few receiving MVs. The producers included on the album are listed below:
Finally, Crypton operated label KARENT released their own Kasane Teto focused album, “Uso no Kanaekata”, on April 1st, 2026, featuring another handful of prominent and well-known producers, largely from Japan. The album has 11 tracks of varying genres, and is available for streaming right now.

Once more, the producers featured on the album are listed below:
Whew! That’s all of the stories for this article, but we can no doubt expect more to come soon. Thank you all for continuing to read our posts at Project0401! We hope your April is one worth celebrating!
See you soon!
