With Kasane Teto’s immense popularity on Synthesizer V Studio after her initial release for the engine in April of 2023, there have been rumblings of a version of her voicebank in production for the software’s successor, Synthesizer V Studio 2, released on March 21st, 2025 and often shorthanded to Synth V 2. Fans of Kasane Teto and the engine itself have been eagerly awaiting news of an updated voicebank for the idol.

TWINDRILL has commented on the matter a handful of times previously, stating that they would share more information about the prospects when they had more to give other than a “wait and see”.

It seems that time is now, as on October 29th, TWINDRILL and AH Software officially announced and showcased a new version of the Kasane Teto voicebank specifically for use with Synth V 2! It would later be added that the updated voicebank will be releasing on November 27th, 2025, alongside a Frimomen voicebank also intended for use on Synth V 2.
The AH Software website currently has preorders for Kasane Teto Synth V 2 open, with the physical box of the voicebank priced at ¥10,780, or ¥9,680 for the digital download version (approximately $70 and $62 respectively at the time of writing). However, discounts are offered for users who already own Kasane Teto Synth V or those registered as AH Software users. Users will also be able to use the product with the free version of Synthesizer V Studio 2, though with reduced features.
The website further clarifies that Synthesizer V Studio 2 is a seperate purchase, and that this version of Kasane Teto will only be usable on Synth V 2 and not the previous version of the Synth V engine.
Along with the announcement, seven new vocal styles for Kasane Teto’s singing voice on Synth V 2 were showcased, being Joyful, Cute, Power, Mellow, Low, Mini, and Rock. A video demoing the vocal styles was uploaded the the AH Software YouTube channel, shown below.
Furthermore, the TWINDRILL YouTube channel would upload three videos providing longer showcases of the Rock, Mini, and Low vocal styles, composed by various producers.
Oyamano Mayo, Kasane Teto’s voice provider since the very first version on UTAU, once more returns to reprise the role. Sakauchi Waka also returns to provide the new illustration for the Synth V 2 version.
It remains to be seen how this new version of Kasane Teto will be utilized, but producers and fans alike are looking forward to seeing what will be capable, along with inevitable influx of new music and creative projects!
