After much delay, Project0401 finally has a new set of featured artists to share after returning from our hiatus – the first of which we are proud to say in the lovely seol (@disseoliation), with this illustration of Kasane Teto’s appearance in Machine Love! An artist from the Philippines who began sharing more of her work in 2025, seol is largely a traditional artist who draws and shares what she loves – that mainly being vocal synths and many of the producers on the scene, with other interests including Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, Bocchi the Rock, Gundam, and HoYoverse related properties. The colors she manages to put to page on display here are nothing short of stunning, and it’s easy to see every ounce of that previously mentioned love in her work. For our first featured song in quite a while, we have a debut from a new producer, that being “Unemployed” by MasonCMusic. MasonCMusic has previously posted musical works of theirs to their channel, but this song marks their first released track using a vocal synth. Other works of theirs involve covers of tracks from the Pokemon series and a general focus on synths. Unemployed has Kasane Teto faced with an unfortunately modern and relatable predicament, all the ups and downs involved, and coming to terms with ones place. It’s visuals are mainly comprised of Earthbound sprite edits, with samples from the games sound library featuring in the song prominently. Putting aside the objective overview for a moment, this song is incredibly well-made and catchy as hell, and deserves way, way more views than it currently has. Please share it around, and we’ll be keeping an eye on what MasonCMusic makes next!
