“TETO TUESDAY #3 – Honestly”

This week’s featured artist is Cliché (@ClicheDoodles), with a color-full color wheel of colorful Kasane Tetos, based on the song Honestly. Cliché found their passion for vocal synths and Kasane Teto through producer Jamie Paige. They were captivated by the freedom of expression allowed in the scene, and how there seemed to be an endless number of ways to interpret and make fun, unique designs of the same fundamental character – fun which they wanted to contribute to! As they explored the community further, Honestly became one of their favorite songs, with this piece made as a way to express their love for it. A love which cleary shines through! Between the distinct, defined poses for each Teto, their fun, easy-to-read expressions, and the general charm dripping from every vivid pixel, Cliché unabashedly puts themself into their work.

To pair with our featured art, Honestly is our featured song for this week, made by artist and producer THØRNS. THØRNS began posting in 2022, making numerous covers and songs featuring both themself and various vocal synths, such as Anri, Hayden, and Jun. Honestly would be their first song posted using Kasane Teto, and their years of experience would be plain to see in the quality of the final product. Released in 2024, Honestly features Kasane Teto reflecting on her relationships and self-indentity, and would quickly become THØRNS’ most popular work. I recommend that fans of this song check out THØRNS’ other songs, such as Earth Broadcast, as they are sincerely deserving of equal attention. In recent times THØRNS DJ’d for the MACHINA MUSICA charity event. We look forward to seeing what songs are on the horizon!
